Director's Notes for
Steel Magnolias

     We welcome you tonight to what in many ways has been considered an experiment. We are very excited about creating a theatre in the round experience for both our cast and our audience. Performing in an intimate theatre setting presents numerous challenges to both the acting company and the technical crew. Furthermore, cutting our rehearsal time in half has also pushed the entire production crew to intensify their focus and learn new and different problem solving skills. We are proud of the work our crew has accomplished in four short weeks. We thank you, the audience, for your continued support and understanding of the incredible value the arts play in student's lives.
