Director's Notes for
Damn Yankees

As always, I am amazed at the outstanding work our students have put into creating their production. We are fortunante to have students who are willing to dedicate 150% of their time and energy to producting a quality show in which not only the school, but the community can take a great deal of pride.

The greatest aspect of producing any play is the collaborative effort that is necessary to make it successful. Yet again, we are lucky to have a dedicated, caring collection of artist who are willing to donate their incredible talents to the development of the production and the creation of a positive experience for the cast.

Working with Laurie Klapperich has been a true pleasure. Her talent and attention to detail adds breat texture to the show. The donation of time and energy that Laurie generously provides is something for which the cast is incredibly grateful.

Lance and Greg have done an incredible job bringing the sets to life. Balancing the reality of baseball with the spectacle of a musical is not an easy task, yet they have created a truly remarkable space for the actors to perform.

Robin Gayton has done a remarkable job with her Choreography. Making an entire stage move is never an easy task, especially considering the wide range of experience that decorates the stage. Nevertheless, robin Challendged the students and allowed them the experience of pushing their limits.

Debbie Miller as always has worked tirelessly with the cast and orchestra. Few people will ever understand the incredible amount of effort, time and energy Debbie dedicates to our productions. Her dedication to the students ensures a quality theatrical experience for everyone involved.

Finally, I am very please to welcome Nate Olsen to our musical family. Nate agreed to take on the arduous and daunting task of Technical Director. Nate's responsibilities of making sure the set, lights and sound were completed are job's that would intimidate many, yet Nate was un-phased. We are lucky to have someone like Nate who is dedicated and models the value of hard work. We look forward to many more productions with Mr. Olsen as our Techincal Director.

Enjoy the show!
