Director's Notes for
Brighton Beach Memories
One fo the great rewards in producing a classic piece of the American
Theatre is the opportunity to reflect on the state of our society at a
giveen time in history. Brighton Beach Memories provides such an
occasion. As a semi-atuobiograhical piece, we not only see the state
of our society but also are given a glimpse into Neil Simon's personal
perception of the time. In addition to this being our first production
of the year, it is also my master's thesis. It has truly been a labor of
love and tremendous learning experience for me. I want to thank
the cast, crew and anyone who has touched the project. Thank you
for taking such care and committing so deeply to the production.
